“WHEEL OF FORTUNES”
Fills one of the
Largest Wheat Bins in W.A. with Dance
The final instalment of Future Landings,
a collection of three regional
WA contemporary dance performances, will
see the Hopetoun, Ravensthorpe and
Jerdacuttup communities come together for ‘Wheel of Fortunes’, performing two shows in the iconic
CBH Jerdacuttup Wheat Bin on Saturday
12th October at 7 pm and 8 pm.
Aimee Smith
is an award winning choreographer and
dance artist working
locally and internationally.
Together
with writing facilitator, Nicola-Jane Le Breton, from
Denmark, Smith has choreographed Wheel of Fortunes,
creating
a unique journey
for the residents of Hopetoun,
Ravensthorpe and Jerdacuttup to relate to.
Wheel of Fortunes will be performed
entirely by local people and is scripted from local writing.
Tickets are available from both Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe CRC’s and
ticket price includes free bus transport from Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe
a 3 course meal (catered by the Jerdacuttup Community Association) entry
to the performance at the Wheat Bin and entertainment back at the newly
renovated Jerdacuttup Hall.
Heartstrings Trio
from Denmark will be playing a selection of folk, jazz, tango, contemporary and
original music, throughout the evening.
2 viewings of the performance at the Jerdacuttup Wheat Bin one at
7.00 pm and one at 8.00 pm.
The performance will be staged over 4 platforms and will run for
approx. 45 minutes. Good idea to bring a coat for when you are in the Wheat
Bin.
