Farm Gate Art Trail
Ravensthorpe Regional Arts Council Farm Gate Art Trail project was officially launched on Sunday 23rd September at the Dunnart Studio Gallery by RRAC President Jenny Chambers and Hopetoun Ravensthorpe Futures Fund Representative, Shire President Ian Goldfinch. The trail, which is an ongoing project for RRAC, currently has 11 locations with 22 sculptures in total themed around local wildflowers. Maps with descriptions and showing location will be available through the Ravensthorpe Visitors Centre and various tourism information outlets.
The generous First Prize donation of $500 by the Ravensthorpe Progress Association was awarded to Sue Leighton and Colin Hughes with their Entry Queen Beatrice. Second and Third prizes donated by F.E. Daw and Sons were presented to Shirl Sutherland and Paul and Ainsley Foulds. Special Commendations were made to Di and Greg Belli, Enid Tink and Heath Kuiper, the competition was Judged by ABC Gardening presenter Angus Stewart.
